Creative Non-Fiction: Winter Wants

November 14, 2013

I’ve been asked to contribute to a fascinating feminist blog Soft Pink Petals curated by Rose Pose and I submitted a creative non-fiction piece called Winter Wants. As the weather gets cooler, the desire for human contact increases. The theme of the month’s submissions is loneliness and understanding how women place value on being involved with someone and being alone is seen as an invaluable process. Even in literature there are numerous where males are exploring themselves, their humanity, their minds in isolation which can be riveting and acclaimed. Yet rarely do we see woman occupying the space in solitude without it being automatically attached to madness, sorrow, loneliness or social deprivation.

Feel free to read the piece Winter Wants and leave a comment on the Soft Pink Petals blog. If you are interested in contributing to this killer blog contact me and I’ll get you in touch with the blogmaster Rose Pose.

Over and out!
