Photographic Journal: Tree Hugs!

In Queens Park, after a freshly sprinkled snow fall, a curious Whitney explores the terrain. Here’s photographic evidence:













Did I mention I love hugging trees! This is a Northern Red Oak. I’m learning so much.


She’s a cherry tree. She looked cold so I decided to give her a hug. You know, to warm her up. There’s something deep inside me that reminds me that I am part of this earth. Yes, I’m a tree hugger, a geek, an environmentalist at heart but more importantly, I’m a person. People need trees, and sometimes they need our love. Maybe public displays of affection isn’t your thing, but next time you see a tree, breath in the air, smile and thank it. We need each other.
