Not just any tree…a Central Park tree!

September 17, 2011

On my vacation to New York, I visited the famous Central Park and why not. I am a park connisseuir of sorts. I wanted to see how the Big Apple trees measure up against TO’s trees. I had no idea how big Central Park was. It would probably take me three solid days to walk the length of it. But some of the things I did see were the landscaped foliage and artificially created lakes (which look surprisingly natural), the intense hiking trails, the pushy pedicabs, a fountain fit for film, a ballin’ boathouse, and a gorgeous climbing tree.

There it is! What a beaut! My little sister pointed it out and it was love at first sight.

We were made for each other. Alas, I couldn’t get up on the tree on my own. So I asked my Faj (as in Faja from Austin Powers, yup that’s what I call my dad) for assistance.

What a good daddy!

Almost there.

Ok really, almost there…

Made it! Ok Faj, out of the picture.

I’ve climbed my first Central Park tree.

Well, hello there!

Getting down now, I bit more tricky. Faj!

Faj was not impressed not impressed by my shoe mark on his “sweet boy” white Addidas shirt. He’ll get over it.

I also when to Prospect Park in Brooklyn which was smaller, less populated and less smelly, but by that time my camera had died. Over and out!

    Hey Whitney,

Great article! I just got some bad news, that tree was cut down because it was infested with heart rot. Have a great summer!
