POEM: First Funeral

September 4, 2010

This poem comes from an exercise from Womenz Wordz a Toronto writing circle I’m a part of. We were challenged to write a poem using 26 words in alphabetical order.

Adam buries corpse, dead Eve from Garden

Her illness: Jehavoah’s knowledge learned

Mortality

Nakedness

Obituary prepared quickly

Runs silently through vengeful weeping.

Ex-Yahwed’s Zion
